  • The solution of IPTV network television interactive multimedia system

    I. Foreword

    In recent years, in the Asia-Pacific region they launched a number of live television satellite.With the exception of Japan has long been a live satellite, Russia, South Korea, Thailand, the Philippines also have live satellite and covert live satellites , China will launch its own satellite television in recent 1or 2 years.It’s almost use the Thailand UBC live satellites (Thailand-live) in china. The advantage of live satellite is that you can use the 60 cm or even smaller antenna can easily receive dozens of sets of high-quality digital satellite TV in the service area of live satellite. With the development of broadband, peoples’ requirements of transfer analog and digital satellite signals in parallel on internet become stronger and stronger.

    One-way transmission

    To make a live TV programme broadcast and real-time analysis. Through high-quality satellite receivers or other equipment to receive satellite signals ,then compress to the network live streaming media system with the compression card, and through the network to achieve live.The function of payer terminal is singal , can only complete the live video and on-demand function.

    II.The description of IPTV interactive multimedia system requirement:

    At present the basic application of IPTV is mainly  live television on network, it's  real-time through the IP network  to sent the  television programmes , terminal can real-time to play, or can video on demand in the terminal, terminal is generally use the ordinary PC browser or IP export to TV set-top boxe, is one-way basically ,but the IPTV interactive operation system is is based on the IPTV basic application,it’s add information release,internet access in addition to  live and on demand.Thus t hrough the same IP set-top boxe to achieve all these functions.

    III.solution

    Summary:

    According to analyse the needs of coustomer that IPTV interactive multimedia system includes the live streaming media system (SMSS-1.0) and the interactive multimedia information system (CMIS), the interactive multimedia information system includes the integrative function of AMS multimedia information release system and WEB-VOD application system, so it’s high-class application mode in the field of IPTV at present, also is the development direction of IPTV application in future.

Streaming media server responsible for the TV video signals in the collection, coding, compression, real-time to release; File server is responsible for file transfer, database and agreement; Video-on-demand server is used to store and manage video-on-demand program source and to meet other needs in addition to television programs. Multimedia terminal responsible for the real-time reception, decoding and playback output to the TV display terminal.As the browser is embedded in multimedia terminal,so you can use the terminal to surf the internet, send and receive e-mail and other Internet-based applications directly.

    Software: live streaming media management system, interactive multimedia information system (including the information release system and WEB-VOD-demand systems), live streaming media management system is web-based management software, information release system including document server software and management software, web-vod-demand system is a management software that base on web.

    The system is a  streaming multimedia sysyem of real-time video on demand  that to manage with web-based,and use embedded linux platform, stable, reliable, can guarantee the quality and stabilization of pictures, the real DVD screen, demand quick response and support for streaming player, consecutive off/on will not system halt; it can be switched between VOD on demand and TVbe freely, facilitate the customer to use ;support  the film classification management , provide  different demand levels; support the concurrent demand , support directly copy discs at the same time,programnd  filling is easy and convenient .
